COMMON QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS REGARDING THE PRO LANDSCAPER BUSINESS AWARDS

Why are the Pro Landscaper Business Awards different to other industry awards?

Winning your category will allow you to be recognised as an expert within your field by the whole of the industry, not just among your association peers. Secondly, our awards are all about business consistency rather than one-off projects. This will demonstrate to the industry that you have excelled at the financial elements of your business, training, HR, customer service and project consistency.

How much does it cost to enter the Pro Landscaper Business Awards?

The early bird cost is priced at 15% off the standard cost and dependant on the category. This will range from £80-£250 + VAT per entry until 31 July 2018.

The standard cost is again dependant on the category you are entering and ranges from £95-£295 + VAT per entry from 1 August 2018 until the closing date of 1 October 2018.

What is the deadline date for entries?

All entries must be submitted by 1 October 2018.

What is the judging period for the Awards?

The shortlisted companies will be announced November 2018 with the judging to commence immediately after.

Who is on the judging panel?

The judging panel will be made up of a mixture of industry professionals and experts within finance, marketing, accounting and sales. If there is a conflict of interest in a category they will not take part. We will be extremely confidential with the information you submit, and we will double check that you are happy for the judges to see the information before it is shared with them.

Will there be site visits to back up my application?

No. Because the awards are based on the running of your business and not just individual projects, there is no need for the judges to visit past projects as evidence.

How will I know if I've been shortlisted?

The shortlist will be announced in November 2018. You will be contacted by a member of the Pro Landscaper Business Awards team if you have been shortlisted. Everyone that enters the awards will be added to our mailing list to receive updates about the event. If you would prefer not to be added to this list, please contact Emily Maltby.

How many companies will be shortlisted per category?

Our shortlist will be made up of companies that we genuinely feel are deserved of winning and not just to make up numbers. This means there will be a minimum of 2 companies shortlisted per category but could be 3 or 4 in total.

What is the date of the event?

The Pro Landscaper Business Awards 2018 will take place on 8 February 2019 at East Wintergarden, Canary Wharf, E14 5NX

How much does it cost to attend the Awards?

The attendance fee is dependant on what line of business you are in. Extra tickets for shortlisted companies are £95 + VAT. Tickets for members of the industry are £125 + VAT and tickets for suppliers (minimum of 2 to be purchased by each company) are £150 + VAT. There are also tables of 10 available to purchase. Please contact Laura Harris to discuss options.

Can I attend the Awards if I haven't been shortlisted?

Yes. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Laura Harris. You will be able to buy tickets online in due course.

What is the format of the Awards?

The Pro Landscaper Business Awards start just before lunch time with arrival drinks and a chance to network with industry peers. Guests will then be seated for a 3-course lunch before the awards ceremony kicks off. We envisage this to end late afternoon.
